Watch this short time-lapse of well renowned street artists MAKATRON & DEM189 paint a bike mash-up in Reid Cycles' new store on Smith St, Collingwood. I was tasked to create a beat to accompany two mates chilling on a Sunday afternoon doing a spot of painting.
I was tasked to create a urban, fun and friendly beat to accompany the release of the new kid's bike range - Your kids will be riding in style with Reid Cycles’ range of kid’s bikes. These super cool bikes have all the looks and styles of our adult bikes, but with an extra focus on safety and performance for young riders.
The Launch of a Fat Bike required a suitably heavy track. I chose to keep the bassline heavy while the melody wound it's way round the track like the bike does, by eating up everything in it's path.
Makatron & DEM189 were let loose in Reid Cycles NEW Windsor store, painting this MASSIVE 30m mash up of cycling and Melbourne street culture. The mural is an impressive piece of art and worthy of a visit!
A quick turnaround on this track for a launch of a new bike.
The brief was to keep it light but not too light, as it is for a soildly built bike that can still glide through the turns and fly over the jumps.
